Power Plan Identifies More ConservationSummary: As part of the development of the Council's Fifth Power Plan, analysis has identified an additional 2,800 average megawatts of cost-effective conservation can be achieved by 2025. Detail: Tom Eckman, conservation resources manager, briefed Council members on conservation and its potential as a resource. The region has developed about 2,600 average megawatts of conservation since passing the Northwest Power Act in 1980. See presentation (1.8m PDF).
