Mark Walker, Please note in your planning process for the Columbia River Basin Fish and Wildlife Program that Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho is by Contract with the C.O.E's a Lake and not a reservoir. The C.O.E. has a legal obligation to maintain a 2062.5 ft level for 6 months from April to October for local flood control and Power generation at the Albini Falls dam at Priest River Idaho from any ADDITIONAL water available. It is VERY important that for endangered fish populations (i.e. bull trout), other fish populations (i.e.Kokanee & Rainbow trout), the economies of Sandpoint, Hope, Bayview, Garfield Bay, Priest River, Etc, that these legal obligations be met in a complete and timely manner.
