FY 2007-2009 Project Prioritization: Estuary (2nd meeting)

Friday, April 28, 2006
9am-4pm

Fertig Hall, Room 16 (on Lexington)
Clatsop Community College
1653 Jerome, Astoria (map)

Notes:

After meeting with the Lower Columbia Fish Recovery Board we have modified some of the criteria we will use to more closely approximate the LCRFB criteria, so that both states are comparing apples to apples, as it were. We have also split the project ratings into compartments. Thus, you will see that we have criteria designed for Habitat and Production projects and criteria for Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Projects.

The Habitat and Production criteria remain largely the same. Only Criteria R on project scope has changed, replacing the techniques and essential research criteria that served as no distinction previously and now mirrors a LCRFB criteria. The RM&E criteria have altered significantly and are now much closer to the LCRFB criteria .

Steps to take before the meeting:

  1. Please read all the project proposals.
  2. Rate the proposals with the appropriate criteria (one rating from each organization). The habitat projects appear on the Hab and Prod spreadsheet in the Excel file. Use the Habitat and Production criteria to rate those proposals. Research, or M&E projects appear on the RM&E spreadsheet in the Excel file. Use the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Criteria to rate those proposals.
  3. ratings back to me by Thursday, April 27, 2pm. That way I can have time to compile the ratings in a master table. By having the projects rated prior to the meeting, we can have more discussion and a more compact meeting and might be able to finish well before 4pm.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me via , since I'm on the road Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week at eastern Oregon basins.

Thanks for all your efforts and I will see you all on Friday the 28th.
