Artificial Production
The Council has been active in reviewing and evaluating artificial
production programs in the basin. See list of
reports in the APR committee archive.
Artificial Production Advisory Committee
APAC was created in 2001 to advise the Council on artificial
propagation issues and help implement the hatchery reform policies from
the Council's 1999 Artificial
Production Review. APAC consists of representatives of the Columbia
River Basin's state, federal, and tribal fishery managers, as well as key
non-governmental organizations.

APRE (Artificial Production Review and Evaluation)
In June 2002, the Council started a 2-year process to evaluate
all hatchery programs in the Columbia Basin.
