SUBJECT: January 21st Meeting
I would like to invite you to the fifth meeting of the Council's Conservation Resources Advisory Committee. The meeting will be held at the Council's Portland Office (address above) on January 21st from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. For those of you flying into Portland International Airport, you can now ride the MAX light rail trains from the airport to downtown. The Council's offices are one block south of the ?Pioneer Square? stop. The building we are in has two entrances. If you enter from Broadway, the address is 850 SW. If you enter from Sixth Avenue the address is 851 Sixth SW.
A meeting agenda and the notes from the November 4th meeting accompanies this e-mail. Other meeting materials will be posted on the Committee's web site (http://www.nwcouncil.org/energy/powerplan/CRAC/default.htm) later this week. For those of you attending via phone call the Council offices, 1-800-452-5161, for the call in number.
We have two major items on our agenda. The first item will be a presentation and discussion of conservation potential in commercial sector equipment, such as refrigerators, ice-makers, traffic signals, etc. The second item of the day will be a presentation of the Council's draft conservation resource assessment for residential space conditioning, including thermal shell efficiency improvements, heat pump conversions and upgrades.
